At Graves McLain, we would like to remind all drivers to never get behind the wheel after drinking any amount of alcohol. No one else was injured in this accident, but unfortunately, that is not always the case.

Here are some important safety tips to remember before getting behind the wheel:

  • Have an alternative plan in place – if you are out and begin to drink and do not have a designated driver in place make sure to utilize the multiple car services available including Lyft, Uber or cab service.
  • Plan ahead – if you are going out for the night it is important to make sure you have a designated driver established before leaving.
  • Always wear a seatbelt – regardless if you are the driver or passenger in a car you should always wear a seatbelt – they can save your life!
  • Know how to spot a drunk driver – if you see a car driving erratically, swerving, not using proper signals or any other type of suspicious behavior immediately call 911 and report the vehicle.
